Diseases
> Overview
Many different elements come together to cause modern chronic
diseases (such as cancer, MS, chronic fatigue, etc.). PBM
founder Dr. Thomas Rau illustrates this with the metaphor
of a “disease barrel”: when enough toxic circumstances
or substances fill up the organism, it can no longer perform
the functions that keep it healthy. The “barrel”
overflows, and disease results. PBM seeks to identify and
eliminate things that add to the barrel. Often, these factors
are parts of our lives that we take for granted: what we eat,
the root canal we had ten years ago, stress that secretly
took its toll on us. We all have the capacity to get well.
To do so, however, we must address the factors that make us
sick. |
